Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas Slay James Corden's Carpool Karaoke
The latest Carpool Karaoke is here, and this time it was Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas’ turn to help James Corden get to work.
The duo, who are currently preparing to go on their joint Future Now tour, joined The Late Late Show host for a sing-along as well as some tough questioning.
Poor Nick had a bit of a roasting with regards to his love life back in the day, with Demi telling James that he went from “Miley [Cyrus] and then Selena [Gomez] and then back with Miley.” When James asked whether there’d ever been anything between Demi and Nick, the pair said never, with Nick putting a focus on how they’re celebrating ten years of friendship this year!
After giving Nick a break from talking about his love life, the trio started their sing-along with a powerful version of Demi’s ‘Heart Attack’, before moving onto Nick’s ‘Chains’, to which he revealed that he has been chained up before during a performance! Demi’s ‘Stone Cold’ was also given the Carpool Karaoke treatment, to which we must applaud them as it’s a hard enough song to sing anyway, let alone when you’re driving around in a car!
James then moved on to the subject of Nick’s brother Joe, who is currently enjoying success with his new band DNCE. Nick mentioned how the song ‘Cake By The Ocean’ came about, before the trio burst into a spontaneous version. Our favourite bit was Nick nailing an impression of Joe! Nick, Demi and James followed this with a performance of ‘Close’, one of Nick’s latest singles, complete with some epic dance moves!

Having sat alongside many famous faces during his Carpool Karaoke segment, James then raised the issue that nobody’s asked him back to perform with him. Demi and Nick let him audition for them as the trio put on an incredible a cappella performance of ‘Jealous’ – someone sign him up now!
This lead to them having a busk on the street as their new band, with Demi providing the vocals for ‘Confident’, Nick on guitar and James on drums (well, overturned buckets). The trio get a great reception, with Demi completely slaying on the vocals side. It gave us all the goosebumps, we’d definitely pay to see the trio in concert!
Unfortunately, Nick and Demi had to let James down gently, but at least they had a great time on the way to work!
