Before I Fall Will Hit Theaters April 2017
Before I Fall is a young adult novel written by Lauren Oliver, who also wrote the Delirium trilogy. The book came out in the year 2010. After years of waiting, fans can finally see the story come to life next year!
Before I Fall focuses on Samantha “Sam” Kingston, who seems to have the perfect life-an amazing boyfriend, friends, and everyone crushing on her. One day, her life suddenly ends in a car accident. However, the next day she wakes up in bed as if nothing ever happened. The story has a “Groundhog Day” phenomenon, meaning that Sam is stuck reliving the day of her death.
In an interview with The Hub, Lauren Oliver said she’s “always been interested in the mean girl phenomenon and in themes of change and redemption.”
The film will star Zoey Deutch as Samantha Kingston. Halston Sage, Cynthy Wu, and Medalion Rahimi will play Sam’s best friends. Kian Lawley, Logan Miller, Elena Kampouris, and Jennifer Beals, are also part of the cast.
