Aston Merrygold releases new video for 'Get Stupid'
Aston Merrygold has released a brand new music for his single ‘Get Stupid’, three years after its original release.
The track has recently been given a new lease of life after being used in the advert for the Samsung Galaxy S9, with the track since making a reappearance on charts across the globe. What better way to celebrate this new success than by sharing a brand new video for the track?
Whilst the original visual saw Aston dance his way around a shopping centre, the new video was filmed at his very own BASE dance studios in London. Once again, the video is dance heavy but this time it features a whole host of different dancers and dance styles.
Throughout the video, we see Aston and his crew demonstrating their best moves, and the young talented dancers of the future showing them how it’s done. We even see Strictly Come Dancing’s Katya and Neil Jones spicing things up with a striking Latin routine.
The visual is energetic, fun and truly captures the care free essence of the song. Speaking to Billboard, who premiered the video, Aston said: “‘Get Stupid’ is really a reminder to everyone how important it is to have fun. Live life, be free, just get stupid once in a while! There’s so much drama in the world, sometimes we just need to someone to remind us.”

Aston made the video in conjunction with mysnapp, a mobile app where fans can shop the fashion worn in the video. This includes exclusive merchandise created by Aston, which is only available through the app.
If you want to see more of Aston’s fancy footwork, he will be bringing the music of the 60’s to life later this year on the Rip It Up tour. He will be touring and dancing across the UK with Harry Judd and Louis Smith during September and October.
